Oh, the post partum body.
Some have it, some think they have it and some look exactly like they did before they were pregnant 2 hours after the last good push.
Unfortunately I am most definitely in the first category, one of those who has it.
Yay. You can see the excitement written all over my face, right? And Reed just looks annoyed because he's heard enough about it.
I totally let it get that way.
I didn't take care of myself.
And I really hate that now, and you can tell.
Oh man, I don't want to define myself by my body image. Because honestly, I'm not here to impress anyone with it. And I definitely don't want to raise my babies thinking they have something to prove.
But I have always loved food, a lot. Especially the bad stuff. And when I was pregnant I loved food even more. Especially the REALLY bad stuff.
Never. Again.
I have also always really loved being active. And that's not as easy when you have that extra baby fluff. So I want it gone. And it will be gone.
So, I decided to kind of track the process and progress on the blog.
Because that's what my life looks like right now, on top of a lot of other things, a lifestyle change.
Every diet I've ever done has failed.
So we're gonna bite the bullet, change our whole lifestyle, and eat whole and natural foods.
Which is great because going on 2 weeks we absolutely love it.
As much organic as possible, little to no processed food and trying to stay on a mostly plant based diet with small quantities of meat.
When Travis agreed to this it was a serious "Hallelujahhhh!" moment.
Then he realized he loves it and that called for a "Halelluyerrrr!"
It takes so much time, education and preparation so you don't spend every penny you have ever earned in one grocery trip to a whole foods store.
It could so easily happen.
Granola bars for $5 each. Yes. That happens.
Not gonna happen to this one though.
We're also starting CrossFit. Oh, just my dream workout setup.
So now, I can't start slacking because I blogged about this. And that would be really embarrassing if you guys caught me devouring a cheeseburger.
Ok, I might eat a cheeseburger every once in a while.
But maybe just eating it like a normal person, not devouring.
Because, hey, that's progress for me right now!
So that's that.
You're welcome for this really long "announcement" post.
And to finish it off, here's a few pictures of us being active.
I know it's hard to believe, but Trav never poses for these pictures.
Stop that man to take a picture of him while he's adventuring?
Yeah, not gonna happen.
I have to snap so stinkin' quick and I can't believe I get ones this good?!
