homemade teething biscuits

We're all about thrifty over here.
I try and make as much homemade food for Reed as possible because it's just waaay more cheap!
And way better for him, can you say fresh? I like fresh.

He's at this stage of "I'm gonna talk all day, every day. And yell, and squeal, and laugh, and make car sounds, and growl and every other sound imaginable."
It's funny and cute.
But sometimes I just neeeed quiet.
And he just neeeeds to chew on something to help his new chomper friends cut through.
(When I say friends, I mean not friends at all.)
He's chewing and he's happy.
It's quiet and I'm happy.

Soooo, here is a quick and easy homemade teething biscuit recipe!

1 cup flour
1 cup dry infant rice cereal
1 can of fruit or sweet potato baby food
2 tsp cinnamon
2 tablespoons coconut oil
3 tablespoons water

I was going to steam an apple or mash a banana but my cute little niece and nephew snuck away with the fruit while I wasn't looking. So I just used canned baby food, but I bet fresh fruit would be better ;)

Preheat oven to 425. Mix your dry ingredients together. Mix in the baby food (or mashed fruit,) water and melted coconut oil. (I just used my hand to mash it all together at this point.) It should form into a ball of dough. Roll dough out and cut out your biscuits. As cute as the stars are, I ended up having to break the sharp corners off because Reed totally gagged on them. Place biscuits on a lightly greased cookie sheet and bake for 10-12 minutes, or until slightly brown. Allow them to completely cool before serving. Enjoy!

Easy peasy lemon squeezy.
Yeah, I just said that.
